Report from the edge...

Long time no see

I know I know! It's been too long.

But I have lots of news!
I've started working at 'Løve Rosenplanteskole' or in english 'The rose garden at Løve'.

I absolutely love it! I get to work with these fantastic flowers surrounded by amazing scents.
My colleagues are beautiful flowers too.

That's why I've decided to add a new category.

ROSE OF THE MONTH

The first rose in this category will be:

EVELYN

I didn't just choose this beauty because she shares her name with my youngest niece, but I just
love this sweet gentle peachy color.

She is an Austin rose with a wonderful exotic heady scent.
She will grow to a height of about 1m and have a diameter of 80cm.
The amazing blossoms will continue make you smile form june till at least september.
She is the daughter of the Austin roses 'Graham Thomas' and 'Tamora'.

I hope you enjoy these small excursions.

Time for an update

Well it's been a while.

I've finally taken the time to add lots of stuff to the galleries.
I've created an extra gallery called Artstuff.
This contains three subfolders so far.
In these you'll find paintings, drawings and photos.

There is also quite a bit on http://amphitheatre.deviantart.com/

This sunday my sweetheart Alex is turning 30! Old geezer!
His best friend from Germany is hopefully coming.
Sadly you never quite know it with this guy.
Well, on the other hand he's such a cool person to be around.

I've sent my application for Film-and mediascience, but
I'll get the notice if I got the spot July 28th. Yawn!

Oh yeah, by the way...
Our school wanted us to come talk to the new students of Multimedia-design about our trip to India.
So we went there and told them all about it.
The school had invited a journalist from the local newspaper to interview us.
They printed a double page feature about us.
Now a national paper want's to do an interview with us. To weird.

I tell you... we're reaching for stardom.

The only stupid thing is that I intially had the idea to sell the story about the trip as a blog, but
everyone told me that it was a useless idea, so I dropped it.
Man, could I bite my butt by now.

I'll post the newspaper clippings as soon as I can.

Hugs and kisses

More Pictures

As you will be able to tell from the menu on the right, I've added another picture gallery.
I've separated the India pictures from everything else.
This way it's easier for me to keep travel pictures and the ones I shoot here at home apart.

The first pic in the new gallery is one I didn't shoot myself.
It's me sleeping on the couch after swimming.
I must have been about four or five years old.
I love this picture and wanted to share it because it says so much about me.
I spend so much of my time being creative that I'm really worn out when evening comes and tend to collapse on the couch.

Here it is:

By the way, I've begun watching Twin Peaks again, since I got the first part of the second season on DVD for Christmas.
I still think that Twin Peaks is one of the best pieces
of entertainment.
The irony, the subtle nutty characters, the multiple stories woven into one, and of course the original main story.
David Lynch is my personal hero.
Is is quite scary watching Twin Peaks in a small town like ours though.
People are nutty, have weird secrets, we're close to the sea, and the weather is very Twin Peaks'ish.
We just lack mountains... very much! There are none in sight for at least 500km.

Photographing is hard these days. I don't want to drown my camera in all this rain.
Maybe we'll have snow on monday. Please!!!

The blogging goes on

Hi everyone

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

As you can tell I've made quite a few changes around here.

I hope you like the new layout.

I'll keep on posting a bit about what goes on in my life, and try not to bore you too much.
This will more or less be a diary with the purpose of getting just a bit of structure into my crazy head.
Not too much structure. I guess my form of insanity is the foremost part of my personality.

I've fought for a long time to accept myself the way I am, and I must say that I've learnt to enjoy it quite a bit. I don't need to change that much.

For the time being you can still find the pictures and entries from India below.

Hope to hear from you soon.

There and back again...

as a wise man called Tolkien once said.

We're back in Denmark and it feels great.
Everything we once thought were rather trivial, now seems more intense, more beautiful than ever. We've really learnt to appreciate things so much more.

I promissed to tell you about the trip to Coorg.
If you should happen to be in the vincinity one day... GO TO COORG!
It's absolutely worth it.

It's wonderfully green and mountainous.
Coorg is Indias main coffee region and wild elephants still roam the territory.

The hotel (Club Mahindra Kodagu Valley Coorg) was excellent.

There are lots og things to see in Coorg. Such as:

Abby Falls

OR

The Golden Temple (Namdroling)
The most beautiful tibetan temple

All in all the trip was worth the effort and money we put into it.
India is something everyone in the western world should go see.
Then you realize how rich we are in our part of the world.
Indian people are so friendly and so kind. They take you in and treat you as a part of their family.
We certainly will return someday.

This weekend and next week.

Right at this moment the countdown on my desktop says there are exactly 11 days, 20 hours, 58 minutes and 20 seconds left until we board the plane.
India sure has grown on us, but we are looking foreward to going home. We miss our mommies!

This weekend we'll try to see a bit more of Bangalore.
Saturday there is a book fair at the Palace Grounds that we want to see. Sunday we will be going to the Bull Temple.

As for next week. Monday will be a regular working day, but also the last. Tuesday we're going to Coorg with Sumathi, our host.
Coorg is a very nice quiet place south west of Bangalore in the middle of coffee estates. There are a tibetan monestary and beautiful temples to visit. We will return from there next friday.
Check out the travel map in the menu on the right to see the location of Coorg.

That leaves us with the last weekend and monday tuesday to go shopping for the rest of the souvenirs you all want so badly

Wednesday morning at 6:45 indian time (4:15 CET) we'll board the plane towards London and arrive in Copenhagen approx. 17:10 CET.

The reason why I'm so elaborate on this subject is that monday will be the last entry from here. Since we're no longer going to Ascendum, I no longer have the possibility to update the blog.
I'll of course add the pictures from Coorg when I get home.

Have a nice weekend everyone. See you for the last indian entry on monday.
Hugs and kisses
