Testing my patience

Due to the fact that the university I attend is about 100 km away from my home I have become a commuter.
I take the train to Copenhagen and back home at very different times of the day.
Mostly everything is quiet and easy...also due to the fact that I choose to sit out in the "lobby" of the frain and not in the actual train car. I sit there quietly next to the vending machine and try to read or just watch the landscape woosh by.

Sometimes i can't help but think that taking the train is a master class in misanthropy... super advanced level!
Mostly people do stupid things like take the fast train that doesn't stop between here and Copenhagen Central and try to get off the train just outside of Copenhagen. They get really mad at the train staff for not telling them that this is the fast train...even though this is being repeted about ten times at the station here because the train company already know that people are stupid enough not to check the info screens at the platforms.
Or they try to get off the train through a door that has a 15x45cm bright yellow sign across it that says LOCKED.
Mostly I just shake my head and file it under "crasy world".

The other day I went to Copenhagen and on the way back I was so baffled by what I saw.
I sat quietly in my seat that was a part of a group of four seats. Two face the other two and the same thing takes place on the other side of the aisle. I was joined there by three grown up women. An elderly mother and her two daughter. They also brought four children. A toddler girl, two boys of about 11 and a girl at approx. 12. I know I am not the most child friendly person on the face of this earth and I can be very critical... but... if a child kicks you and you say "ouch" is it normal that the parent doesn't say "Oh, sorry! Please stop kicking the lady" but goes for "yeah, good job, you'll have strong legs if you continue that way."
After that the mother of the toddler decided that the friday evening train... correction the overcrowded friday evening train was the right spot for changing the babies diaper. No, I'm not talking about the trains bathroom... I'm talking about the middle of the compartment. Tired people are trying to get home to their families after a long day.
So she puts down the toddler on the adjacent seat and wipes the poop of the babies butt and puts the naps in the trashbags of the train, leaving a stench behind that can only be interpreted as ...well... crap.
Meanwhile she is verbally abusing her neighbours for serving her a desert made from organic eggs last time she went to visit. "Well, I didn't eat it because who knows if that stuff contained salmonella?"
After finishing the diaper change she didn't go wash her hands... no. The first thing she did was to dig through her bags with her babypoop hands and found herself a nice sandwich which she then enjoyed holding it with the same hands that just cleared poop of her child. And I just aksed myself... why worry about salmonella when you can have a nice batch of coli bacteriae from babypoop?

Maybe I am just to unflexible and pigheaded, but this kind of behaviour...

Tell me what you think.

Baskery

I know that I have posted stuff about these girls before... at least on facebook.
I just cannot stress how absolutely fabulous they are.
I saw them live last night at the Dexter in Odense and they sound better live than on CD. They totally blew me away.
So I'm posting a fine selction of music and a picture of three awsome sisters.

Procrastination

Thanks to wonderful planning by the University of Copenhagen I will not be going to classes before February. In stead I will be working on my bachelor project. I have chosen a very nerdy subject.
"Batman comics vs. the film adaptations through the years"
I am such a geek.

I am currently working on a project that includes photos and webdesign for a friend from elementary school. He and two friends have a band that needs a little public attention. So I'll do my best.

As you can see I am mentally going from summer to fall.
The weather is changing and maybe we'll have the first night with sub-zero temperatures this week. My big jacket has come out of hiding and the trees light up the landscape with bright shades of reds and yellows. The time for hot cocoa is near.

Later on I will be posting my reviews of the movies I saw during the summer. That will be very mixed as some were great and others wouldn't recognize quality if it bit them in the ass. Pardon my french.

More music

Hey there peeps.

Here is some more music.

---Tranferred to the music section---

These are three girls from Sweden, called Baskery. Yes, Sweden. They rock and will be in Odense in October at Dexter. There is no way I'm missing that.

This so-called summer

I changed the design of this blog when summer had really hit Denmark. The weather was nice and sunny and the temperature was climbing steadily up the twenties (c).

Today we have a rough wind from northwest including heavy rain and it's about 10 degrees. It looks like November!
Yesterday I started my summer holidays and I just had to turn on the central heater. Is this supposed to be summer?

Maybe I should go back to the winter look. The color matched the skies quite well right now.
