As you will have noticed I've given this place a revamp. It's quite a cool color scheme so expect another spring themed revamp when spring finally hits Denmark. I can't wait.

A few days ago I saw geese flying north. I take that as a good sign. There are still patches of grey snow on my lawn. I love snow but around this time it just gets boring. I need springtime. I need flowers and singing birdies and sunshine on the tip of my nose. I miss the feeling of walking barefoot on grass.
All through the long danish winter I've collected all kinds of seeds and just can't wait to put them in small pots and watch them germinate.
Plumeria, Katsura, tomatoes, melons, pumpkins, lemons, chilies are all waiting.

Outside the sparrows are already signing loudly is if they want to conjure up spring and life.
Maybe I should ask my friend in Brazil to jump around some. Maybe that will speed up the turning of the planet.

January is traditionally the month where I do a lot og self portaits.

I'm not religious. But I admit putting my hands together and praying that Barak Obama would win. Sometimes you do get your wishes granted.

From the view of a geek I can only make the reference to the TV show 24. I remember watching the first season and agreeing with the others here at home that it would be a long time until the USA would have an african american president... "at least 20 years". I'm so happy I was wrong.
Obama is a charismatic young leader who truly cares for the people. The fact that John McCain is 72 years old and has been treated for skin cancer twice could have meant that Sarah Palin had a slim chance of moving up the ladder if he got to ill. Just the thought makes me nauseous.
Now I can actually wear my hooded sweater that says USA on the front in public again. I actually didn't for the last 8 years.
The praying doesn't stop though. I pray with all my heart that Barak Obama will not share the fate of other strong leaders in the history of the USA. Please protect him.

A strong good breeze of hope can be felt all the way to Europe.
